Prysmian & Xylem

Xylem is a leading global water solutions partner who innovates and collaborates with industrial manufacturers, utilities, buildings operators and communities to protect and optimize water. Xylem produces, amongst other things, water pumps aimed to clean and transport water. In these water pumps cables produced by Prysmian can be found. 

A few weeks ago a workshop was held with Prysmian and Xylem in Emmaboda where a Xylem factory is located. A total of eight different nationalities were present during a day that had sustainability as the major theme. 

The workshop consisted of both theoretical and practical parts. A brainstorming session brought ideas regarding what can be done when two global companies work together, and common actions were set. At the end of the day the participants came together and carried out a water mark where they measured the water quality of a nearby stream. Through Xylems’ website it is possible to order your own test kit and conduct a water mark in nearby water.
